Problems

We all bookmark tweets so that we can visit them later and learn from them until we don’t. We just keep bookmarking every other tweet to never visit them later. But why is that? We did some research and talked to different people about it. Here are some of the main points that we gathered.

  • Too cluttered: Many people follow multiple topics on Twitter, and since there isn’t any sort of way to categorize the bookmarked tweet, it becomes difficult to find a tweet you are looking for.
  • Too distracting: We know how Twitter can be distracting. Say you are working on your research, and then there is a live wall on your feed that tells you about the latest drama and the different hashtags trending. You lose your focus.

These were a few main points that people pointed out apart from many small yet frustrating problems.

Solutions

We started to search what are some of the alternatives one can you in-order to overcome this issue. We came across some really good solutions that seemed to have solved all the above problems discussed above. Let’s dive in.

  • Using Pocket: We know that it is primarily for storing articles, but we suggest that you create another account just for storing tweets. Then, install their extension. Now, there is a deep link in every tweet from where you can save tweets and then later organize them in different tags in the Pocket’s dashboard.

  • Using Notion: You can create a page titled ‘Twitter Boomarks’ and then use their extension to save it to that particular database and add tags based on your liking.

  • Using TweepsBook: This is a new tool that was recently launched on 9th April 2021. It is specially designed to bookmark tweets with different tags and your bookmarked tweets show in a dedicated dashboard. Using TweepsBook is very simple. You just reply to a particular tweet mentioning @tweepsbookcom with the keyword ‘bkm’ followed by #customtag of your choice. Now, the tweet you replied to is automatically shown in your dashboard based on all the different tags that you have used previously.
